The topic of the “Davidic Servant” continues to prove an annoyance for the upper crust of the Church. And this is perhaps why the LDS Apologist/Think Tank “FAIR” churned out a short piece refuting the idea over the weekend
… Given the vast empire religion wields over the minds of its adherents, such a deprecation serves as an implicit form of censorship calculated to make external scholarship to that of the consensus appear fringe. By doing so, this apologist effectively turns the minds of most would-be investigator away from researching the topic for himself …

Wow, this is a piece of work. Clearly the early prophets referred to the Davidic Servant as a man. If they were referring to Jesus Christ, they would have used a name that Jesus Christ uses. David is clearly a different name than Jesus, as is Peter, James and John.
It's possible that Joseph Smith Jr. considered himself to be the Davidic Servant. Was he not martyred?
The way the article is written appears very biased, not in the search for truth, but the fear behind the article is palpable. They don't want anyone to believe anything that isn't official church doctrine, even though it's official church doctrine to seek the truth, that those who seek the truth will have the mysteries of God revealed to them, and that we believe there are things that are yet to be revealed. If these things that are yet to be revealed do not come from the church then where will they come from? The church has to back walk on a lot of official doctrine to discount the world's need for continued revelation, and the fact that the every day person doesn't know the mysteries of God without seeking them out. If the church discourages seeking the mysteries of God because it is not official church doctrine, then that is not official church doctrine. How much official church doctrine does the church have to back track on to make these kinds of claims! Quite a lot! And the hypocrisy is becoming apparent.
Jesus taught that He has more than one fold. The 12 tribes of Israel all have important missions. The mission of the tribe of Ephraim is to teach the gospel. It is not to become some sort of world dominant power. God has plans for all of His children and He will organize them according to the needs of humanity.

To show video at link, and ask was the Star of Bethlehem legit?
Many fall prey to their faulty understanding of Gematria too.
How do you explain continental drip.
