I'm not a person of great personal volition. When the Spirit moves me I move and I do what the Spirit moves me to do. I may wield the Spirit like a baseball bat but it is the Spirit that has me move my arm. …

Answer to OP......................... guess not.
Prolly it’s time for a new thread to compare and contrast the events of March 8.
Does anyone remember what happened then.
Crickets, but not baseball bat.
The warnings are clear despite the many claims of confusion.
A smack upside the head has a way of bringing clarity to a situation.

Can a man always act by the power of the Holy Spirit? Is it soley faith that determines the access or do we have no control over the Spirit? Meaning can we bind the Spirit to us in mortality so it never goes away?

Should we have some climate deniers here to assert the water levels in these dams have not fallen?
Somebody on LDSFF said they would like to see Lake Mead filled.
Now they’re complaining about all the snow.
Some people would complain if you hung them with a new rope.

24 Therefore saith the Lord, the Lord of hosts, the mighty One of Israel, Ah, I will ease me of mine adversaries, and avenge me of mine enemies: 25 ¶ And I will turn my hand upon thee, and purely purge away thy dross, and take away all thy tin: 26 And I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counsellors as at the beginning: afterward thou shalt be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful city. 27 Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and her converts with righteousness.

Said person challenged another person to do something about Lake Mead if that another person really had any such abilities. Said person did not initially specify filling the lake, only doing something. The another person warned said person that that much precipitation could cause dangerous flooding. Still the another person said that he would see what he could do. I think that was about a year and a half ago. I wonder if said person will give any credit to the another person? Did said person really complain about all the snow?

You are right. I found his original request. (Names redacted to protect the guilty )

I think you should fill lake mead this winter, what do you have to loose?
And the another person's response.

That much rain and snow in just one winter would surely be catastrophic for some. Let's see if I can make a positive change. Would that change any minds here?

Job 38:38 speaks about Clumpy Dirt, and that is emblematic of a poster here on LDSFF.
Brother 3838 said he would like to see said lake filled.
This necessarily necessitates abundant water falling from the sky.
And there has been a lot of that lately.
The SHTF thread here sheds much light.
Just remember you got to crack a few eggs to bake a cake.
Said cake in progress, but now’s your chance to add your two cents too.
More responses may be forthcoming.

No. The man is only the vessel through which the Holy Spirit acts. The man does not initiate action. The Holy Spirit initiates the man to act. Moses held up his staff at which time God parted the red sea. When Jesus was teaching it was the indwelling Father that was giving the words. When Jesus called Lazarus from the tomb it was the indwelling Father that raised Lazarus from the dead. When the Spirit told me that the BoM first started in England the Spirit also told me to tell them at LDSFF. When I suggested that they at LDSFF needed a demonstration it was the Spirit that initiated me to say it in the first place. That is when the 5.7 occured. It was the same way for the 6.5. I was prompted to call for another demonstration after which I walked to the bank and 20 to 30 minutes later when I got home the 6.5 had happened. When the Spirit that is with me was called a reprobate spirit by DIMLIGHT I invited the Spirit to send a 7.3 but it was the Spirit that initiated me to do the invite just like it was God that told Moses to lift up his staff. Next was the 8.1, not long after I posted that an 8.1 would be next, it happened close to Mount Michael which is at -57 latitude and the quake was 57 miles deep. After that an 8.9 would have happened but I used my free will to say no. The Spirit respected my free will and did not send an 8.9. If Moses would have used his free will to not raise his staff the Red Sea would not have parted. The Spirit will always go away to rejoin with the Father.
17:5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
However, when the Spirit is with us we grow a seed within ourselves that receives a new body at the resurrection.
15:35 But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?
15:36 Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:
15:37 And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain:
15:38 But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.
It is through this seed that we become one with the Father and the Son. It is through this seed that we no longer require the Christ Spirit to dwell within us.

Often my heart pleads, "Father where art thou!"
This Friday I was walking at night. Was about 10pm. I had ear buds on and had just finished a phone call when I heard someone speaking behind me. Being it was late and I had my earbuds on I first ignored. Then I heard them call out but I kept walking. Then I heard someone jogging towards me from behind and a tap, tap, tap, as the person approached so I stopped and took out my earbuds and looked around and saw a young man maybe in his early 20s perhaps even a year or so younger.
But I saw that he had a board in one hand, about 2inches by 36in. and that made me a little nervous but I said "How can I help you?"
The young man said, "I just saw you walking and was wondering if you wanted someone to walk with you?"
Being on guard I ignored his question and asked his name?
He said his name.
I asked where he was from, and he answered.
After chatting a bit I was like what do you want?
He was like he saw me walking and wanted to walk with me so, I said hesitantly yes, but I surely didn't keep my eyes off him for long. That board was just weird and then I noticed he had a white Bible New Testament only in his right hand. So I started walking again and he followed and he wanted to teach about Yeshua and I listened and walked for a bit and after a minute or so I was making a reason to split up with him because I was frankly unsure about him so we stopped and I said I had to go but he asked me a few more questions about the Bible and I answered and then I said to him, "I am a disciple of Jesus Christ" and he asked about that. After a few minutes he wanted to pray for me and wanted to hold hands as we prayed but I was thinking "ambush" so I suggested we fist bump and I kept my eyes open while he prayed.
After the prayer I thanked him and then the Spirit spoke and said to me, "This man is lonely"
And my disposition changed to compassion.
So I asked if I could pray for him and he said yes. I then asked Father to bless this man to feel His love and the Spirit said I sense you are lonely and I want you to know you are a valued member of the community and in the name of Jesus Amen.
After that he was joyful and said he needed that and we hugged and said goodbye and parted ways.

From personal experience this can be a hard concept to comprehend and then to live by.
I still have trouble knowing exactly what I should be doing when the Spirit is not animating my actions. Frankly I feel depressed and don't really want to do anything unless I can hear and comprehend the Spirit and it is motivating my actions and words.
And I'm sure I'm missing something but it would be nice have more consistency. Not be so, ON/OFF like.

Unfortunately that is the way it is for me also. When the Spirit is quiet for long periods of time I start to doubt my very identity and everything that goes with it. Fortunately though I have my life story and when I review it in my mind I don't see any other possibility than I am certainly a specific person mentioned in the Bible. Also this scripture does apply.
28:26 For his God doth instruct him to discretion, and doth teach him.
I could not have the insight into the Bible that I have if it were not true.
So I am comforted by those things even when the Spirit is being quiet.

The Cuban Crisis Eyeball video cued up from the Pink Panther video posted earlier in me Lake Mead Poll thread. October 22 is one month and ten days after my birthday.
3/18 is ten days after 3/8.
Ten and half of ten has me curious.
