When does the path of totality on April 8, 2024 pass from CDT to EDT?

On April 8, 2024, the path of totality for the solar eclipse will pass from Central Daylight Time (CDT) to Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) around midday as it moves eastward across North America.

The exact time when the transition occurs depends on the specific location along the path of totality. Generally, the path of totality will cross into the Eastern Time Zone (EDT) shortly after midday local time as it progresses across the continent from west to east.

For more precise information about the timing of the eclipse and its path of totality, including when it transitions from CDT to EDT at specific locations, it's recommended to consult official eclipse prediction resources or use specialized eclipse tracking software or websites. These resources can provide detailed information based on your location or the location you are interested in observing the eclipse from.

According to the map at 2:05 pm CDT which is 3:05 EDT when the path of the eclipse sweeps across the Illinois-Indiana state line.
When does it transition from MDT?

They will experience the eclipse. I was well outside the 2017 eclipse but saw the sky go dim, air get cold, animals hunker down, and weird shadows all around. Those cities simply have less of the dark shadow passing over, but still significant darkness.

Sounds like what I’ll experience at MMAC?

Weird the top hit photo building number matches the timezone transition time.
