One evening I went to the local 7 with a couple friends/co-workers who wanted to taunt Gimpy, which is what they called the poor handicapped guy that worked there. Seems they had had confrontations and they wanted me to join in their mis-guided battle. We strode about the store being loud and stuff to annoy the guy, but I began to realize they were on a bad mission to make life miserable for some poor guy, doing his best to deal with his unfortunate situation.
There were 49er Jersey's hanging up and I had just acquired Gerry Rice and other 49 players in the latest fad of fantasy football, so I bought one of the shirts and soon thereafter the earthquake struck during the world-series
High Spy wrote: ↑Sat Nov 04, 2023 5:30 amOnce upon a time, spy frequented The Gigal Garden. Funny, there’s a potential number fifty seven anomaly for anyone keeping track. Spy also once gave away pounds of titanium. The search link will find posts about user name Gilgal for LDSFF members.Everybody Wang Chung wrote: ↑Sat Nov 04, 2023 2:36 am
Then there's Gilgal Gardens.
Thomas Child, a masonry contractor and Bishop of the 10th Salt Lake LDS ward, conceived of a symbolic sculpture garden that would be a retreat from the world and a tribute to his most cherished religious and personal beliefs.[1] He began building the garden in the backyard, when he was 57 years old, and continued to pour his time and money into the work until his death in 1963. Child named the garden Gilgal after the Biblical location where Joshua ordered the Israelites to place twelve stones as a memorial. The name "Gilgal" is sometimes translated to mean "circle of standing stones," an appropriate appellation for a sculpture garden. Gilgal is also the name of a city and a valley in The Book of Mormon, a sacred scripture in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

https://ldsfreedomforum.com/viewtopic.p ... 19#p813119 Works for nonmembers and shows a video about OTEC, which is one of spy’s true passions. Also a pic of the Gilgal geocache. The titanium prizes were a follow on from a silver price guessing game by Silver who lived in the Wiseman neighborhood of San Antonio. Spy attended church there once while there for training, but didn’t understand a lick of the Spanish service.

God in Mormonism isn't the classical omni-everything of traditional Christianity. He has to work with eternally existent material, in a sense making do with what he has available.malkie wrote: ↑Fri Nov 03, 2023 6:39 pm
Looking at the question from a strictly layperson/non-scholar PoV, I find the idea of a god who is much like us, just getting by, down in the nitty-gritty with ordinary people, somewhat appealing. (I'm not saying, however, that this is what I believe.) It's not too far from the not unpopular idea that god is, and is in, everything.

Well, I just watched the video for their new song. It's painfully obvious that the real talent was in John Lennon and George Harrison. Color me unimpressed with Paul and Ringo:

The linked video gave me new insights into the Beatles song Revolution Number-Nine, which is on the album ofter erroneously referred to as the White Album.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YnMFQFDhy-4 wrote:

Names that begin with, or contain C followed by H have always stood out to me since an encounter in the church office building on March 8th. Many years later, Cher Ami appeared in a GC video and I was learning about similitudes and symbols at the time. Said little bird is said to have saved the lives of many soldiers caught up in friendly fire in the Argonne Forest. They were part of the 308th brigade. The video also showed how to tune a radio, which relates to language in my PB. C is the third letter of the alphabet, and H is the eighth, so combined it made my choice of avatar an easy one.

… START OF RANT
The truth is that PPP had a sales/trade route that he traveled every year that went from around Palmyra NY to Sandusky OH. It is reported and testified to that Sidney Rigdon had a manuscript that he had copied from a manuscript that he had borrowed from a printer in Pittsburg. That manuscript supposedly was written by Solomon Spalding. There is testimony that Spalding's manuscript was the Book of Mormon without the theology. It is reported and testified to that Rigdon added text to his copy during sessions where he practised automatic writing.
Now without knowing any of this the Spirit told me, "that man is the source of the theology in the Book of Mormon". And that was during an LDS movie at the time that the Sidney Rigdon character first appeared on screen. I also did not know at that time about PPP and his wagon route between Palmyra and Sandusky. In the bishop's office when the bishop shared a quote by PPP the Spirit told me that PPP was the angel that brought the plates took them away and brought them back a year later. So it can be deduced that the 116 pages was really the complete manuscript that Martin Harris gave to his wife to read. And she traded it back to PPP on his way out of the area.
So first the Spirit tells me these things and later I find the verification …
